GREAT TRIP IN CENTRAL AMERICA SO FAR:)

We have been cruising through Mexico and Guatemala the last few weeks, two countries we know quite well but we had a lot of fun doing it with two VW busses and our cameras. Tomorrow we are finally ready to head into unexplored territory: El Salvador. We are now relaxing in a small hotel at the border between Guatemala and El Salvador en tomorrow morning we will cross into El Salvador. We are very curious[…]

We are back in Mexico

WE ARE BACK IN MEXICO Since a week we are back in Mexico:) We have been enjoying good times with friends and family in Holland for almost seven months but it was time to get on the road again:) We are staying in Playa del Carmen in a very nice appartement called Lilas del Mar. It is close to the ‘Quinta’, the infamous shopping street of Playa but more importantly, it has very good wifi[…]

WE ARE IN GUATEMALA!!

Saying goodbye to our newfound friends in Belize was hard but Guatemala definitely is worth it! We have been in the jungle for the past three days to visit the Maya ruins of Tikal and we camped on the beautiful lake of Petén Itzá and had a delicious open water triathlon training. Right now we are in Flores (a teeny tiny island with small crooked streets) to get some work done and somewhere in the[…]

Typical Digital Nomad day

Today we travelled from Corozal, Belize to Bermudian Landing, a howler monkey sanctuary (around 100km). We are camping for free in front of the park entrance and just managed to hustle the wifi password from the neighbours in order to checkup on emails, ho(s)tel reservations and Working Wonderfully emails:) Tomorrow we are going for a hike and before we are heading towards the beach of Dangriga and some serious cave tubing on Monday. Enjoying this[…]

We are in Belize

With almost the same pain in our hearts when we left Holland three years ago we now have left our beloved Mexico. The border crossing was very smooth. No problems at all and we even got to keep a bottle of Tequila because the customs agent said ‘how that shit from mexico was tha bomb’smile emoticon We are now in Corozal, chilling and getting used to the fact that we gave actually left. Something we[…]

Setting up camp (video)

A short video that shows how we setup our camp when we arrive on a new location. This video was shot in Chetumal at Yax-Ha Trailer park, a magical place right at the ocean front:)

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas everybody!! Chase your dreams, follow your heart and make 2015 count!! Big hug from Steven, Diana and Nina from Tulum, Mexico!!

Finding a VW mechanic in Yucatan

You probably have seen the picture on the homepage of us with our bus on the beach. This is probably the most expensive picture we took in years. Not because it was so hard to take but because we took the bus to this tropical island (Isla Holbox) in order to take it. The one thing we did not anticipate was that she had to stay on the island for almost a year because she[…]

Beaches, bikes and a bus in Tulum!

An hour south of the two ‘gringo’ cities Cancun and Playa del Carmen you’ll find a place that offers an entirely different experience: Tulum. A small village on the big road south towards the border of Mexico and Belize. It is a small village with many secrets and a lot to offer. It holds beautiful beaches, old and rusty bikes and since a couple of weeks also a very old bus with two Digital Nomadz. We[…]
